Therefore, they had carefully selected ingredients that were high in nutrition and low in harmful additives. One of the key ingredients that Chef used in his bakery was refined wheat flour or maida. They knew that maida was a versatile ingredient that could be used to make a variety of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, and bread. However, they also knew that maida was not the healthiest option and could cause health problems if consumed in large quantities. Therefore, Chef decided to use a combination of other healthy ingredients such as whole wheat flour, oats, and millets in his recipes. This ensured that his baked goods were high in fiber and nutrients and low in refined carbohydrates. Another ingredient that Chef used in his baked goods was sugar. They knew that sugar was often used in excess in baked goods, causing health problems such as obesity and diabetes. To avoid this, Chef used natural sweeteners. To add sweetness to his baked goods, Chef used glucose syrup which was a healthier alternative to high fructose corn syrup. The chef also used humectants such as INS422 and INS420 in his baked goods to keep them moist and fresh for longer. They also used dark compound chocolate chips and drizzle which were high in cocoa solids and low in sugar. This ensured that his baked goods were not only delicious but also had health benefits such as antioxidants and flavonoids. Chef also used emulsifiers such as INS491 and INS322 in his baked goods to ensure that the ingredients mixed well and the final product had a smooth texture. They also used iodized salt in moderation to enhance the flavors of his baked goods. To add color to his baked goods, Chef used food colors such as INS150D and INS150C which were derived from natural sources such as beetroot and carrots. They also used leaving agents such as INS500(ii) and IN170 and stabilizers such as INS415 and INS412 to ensure that his baked goods rose properly and had a good texture. Finally, Chef used baking powder and improver such as INS1100 in his recipes to ensure that his baked goods were light and fluffy.
